Season of Creation – Reconnecting with Nature

Saturday 26th September

10:00 - 12:30

Solas Bhride Centre, Kildare Town

€20

Do you feel a yearning to slow down and reconnect with the natural world? Join us for a unique morning of reflection, and mindfulness, as we explore the rich ecological legacy of St. Brigid and Celtic Christianity.

About the event

For our Celtic ancestors, the earth was never a mere resource or a passive backdrop. It was a living relationship. St. Brigid lived in perfect harmony with the seasons, experiencing the Divine directly through earth, air, fire, and water.

Drawing inspiration from her ancient traditions and the modern wisdom of Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’, this gathering invites you to step out of the daily rush and into a deeper relationship with creation.

“We have forgotten that we ourselves are dust of the earth; our very bodies are made up of her elements, we breathe her air and we receive life and refreshment from her waters.”
 Pope Francis, Laudato Si’

What to Expect

  • Spiritual Reflection: Explore how St. Brigid’s life reflected an intimate, sacred bond with the earth.
  • Mindful Nature Walk: Engage in a gentle, guided walk designed to lower stress, promote mental and physical well-being, and ground your senses. This walk will be led by Beneath the Canopy facilitators. www.beneaththecanopy.ie
